It’s no secret that businesses in the UK have had a tough ride this year, not only having to overcome multiple lockdowns and not being able to open to the public, but facing the challenge of keeping their business running, whilst keeping their workforce safe.
So, as they start to re-open in tier two areas, the Virustatic Shield team would like to help the nation’s retailers, shop owners and business employees to protect their colleagues through the Virustatic Shield Business Donate Scheme.
The scheme will see Virustatic Shield donate free face-coverings that uniquely block, capture and disable respiratory viruses on contact, to help get Britain moving again, in a safe way that protects the wearer and those around them.
Thousands of Virustatic Shield face coverings will be donated free of charge to independent traders and small business up and down the country as they provide essential services to Britain throughout winter.
Nick Smith, Managing Director at Virustatic Shield said:
“The Virustatic Shield was researched, developed and is manufactured in the UK and we understand the value that UK business owners will be contributing to society as we come out of another lockdown.
“As a British-made brand, we want to support and celebrate the UK’s entrepreneurial spirit by helping as many small businesses as we can.
“Our face coverings provide 99% virus protection thanks to a patented protein coating called Viruferrin™️, which is naturally antiviral, antibacterial and antipathogenic.”
In a recent survey conducted by Virustatic, 43% of those questioned said they would trust British products more than imported products.
The snood design is lightweight and breathable. It sits around your neck and can be raised whenever you need to cover your nose and your mouth, providing 360 ° protection. It can be worn comfortably all day long and the single-layer material snood design supports effective communication, which is essential for customer-facing staff.
During the first lockdown, Virustatic Shield donated well in excess of 7,000 of its innovative face coverings to keyworkers across the country, including those at the Moelfre Lifeboat crew.
Vince Jones, full-time lifeboat mechanic for Moelfre, said: “The Virustatic team has been fantastic in supporting local emergency and key workers during these difficult times and their kind donation of Shields to our volunteers were used on the front line when our lifeboats were called into action during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
He added: “The Virustatic Shields will not only provide additional protection to our volunteer crew and shore crew but also to those who we may be called out to rescue. They provide peace of mind for our team while carrying out essential maintenance or repairs on our lifeboats ensuring they remain ready to go at all times.”
